Amanda Gardner

Amanda Gardner has been teaching Spanish for 13 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, a Masters of Arts in Teaching and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. In October 2019, Amanda, along with her co-presenter Dina Reece, presented Mania Musical: Using Authentic Songs in the World Language Classroom at the FLAVA (Foreign Language Associate of Virginia) Conference. Their presentation was chosen as a 2019 Best of FLAVA presentation.

The National Foreign Language Center (NFLC) is a unit of the University of Maryland. For more than three decades, we have focused on partnerships with educational institutions and organizations, governments agencies, organizations, and individual scholars and policy makers. Our primary means of realizing our mission is through strengthening people’s knowledge of world languages, especially those less commonly taught in the United States.
