Connie DiJohnson is the Director for Second Language Acquisition (SLA) for the National Foreign Language Center. She is responsible for the pedagogical integrity of the work produced by faculty members on the SLA team. She works with internal and external stakeholders to create and refine language learning products and assessments. Before joining the Center in 2008, she designed and taught language courses for specific purposes and developed curricula for high school and community college programs. Ms. DiJohnson began her career as a middle and high school teacher and maintains her connection to public education through her volunteer work with local schools.
