Heidi Lechner

Heidi Lechner has been teaching German for over twenty years at both the college and high school levels. Heidi is currently a German teacher for levels 1-4 at Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Illinois, and is President of the Northern Illinois Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German. Heidi has Masters degrees in both German literature and Educational Leadership. She is particularly proud of having started a Dual Credit partnership with the College of Lake County and offers her third and fourth level high school classes for transferable college credit. Heidi is passionate about giving back to the world language community through workshops and presentations and discussing best practices for creating a communicative, light-hearted and lively classroom atmosphere.
