Margaret Borowczyk is a doctoral candidate in Applied Linguistics at Georgetown University. She currently studies community-based heritage language schools as sites of policy negotiation, curricular innovation, and identity construction. She is also a research associate at the Assessment and Evaluation Language Resource Center (AELRC), working with its STARTALK and Seal of Biliteracy initiatives.
